We have had prior trouble with delivery of the winter issues. Apparently some major postal centers begin holding publications around Thanksgiving to make room for the Christmas rush. We went to an Oct 15 close and an early November mailing about three years ago, and that seemed to be the cure until this year.
My bulk issues for contributors arrived a bit late, but they are delivered by UPS.
