Alas, Dan, I fear that there are many who might voice the same sentiment. A healthy forest is not always the one that shows up in calendar pictures.

Just for you Bill here are some pics of the 6.5X55. I shot a buck with the Hornady 140gr SST and had 81% weight retention.
