I have a 12g VH from that same era with a very high comb. Very shootable gun there.

While the comb feels great , it did seem to me to be awful fat in the wrist . So me being Mr. Negativity I thought right away it wasn’t the original stock . But a few minutes later the trigger guard was spun out of the way and the correct serial number was stamped in the wood
