That's great Larry. By the looks of him I'd say you won't have too long to wait until that fourth "first deer" is taken with the family Marlin.

I've hung onto the Winchester 94 .30 -.30 ("thuddy-thuddy" as we call them in V'mont) that I took my first, second, third and fourth bucks with. Next year I'll be taking my grandson for a hunting overnite in grouse season for a starter. He'll be about six-and-a-half by next October and I can't wait! I hope someday to be as fortunate as you were, to be there when he shoots his first deer.

Congratulations Larry to both you and your grandson. I remember how happy I was to shoot my first deer and I can't imagine how proud and happy a dad or granddad would be, at the time of the first kill of anything, with the son/daughter/grandchild, it has to be very special. I believe I could take you to the spot where I killed my first squirrel with my dad.

That was a nice first buck as well.
