non toxic shot safe for 8 ga ?

sorry i got off topic .I noticed that on parkers the area that behind the barrels dont know the name for it but they are 3x thicker than other sxs of the time .I thought that steel shot was unsafe for damascus barrels ? or any barrels made before 1950's ?

Stick with us Milton.... there's a lot to learn from these folks here.

There are other 'Damascus friendly' shot choices that steel can't compete with for weight (down-range energy) and are truly non-toxic.
