streching the RBL "mistique" a little???

We flushed 16 birds, that I might believe- jumped? maybe, and what birds? Pen raised quail? Native birds well into the quail season with strong wings? All singles, or covey rises? What gauge and choke?? What range the shots- waaay too many variables here. Recalls Nash B's comment about ace duck shot Capt. Harold Money's shooting on quail-- "Death on singles, but the covey rise always troubled him?""

RBL--my bird hunting partner was given a 20 with a single trigger for his retirement (from the Bench- Judge of Probate)--I have seen and shot it a few times, nice gun but not worth the asking price IMO-

I would not wish to be caught calling one of the Founding Fathers of the PGCA mendacious- BUT that kinda shooting average- 75% on birds- huum- old timer told me that you put a mallard on the strap for every three shells fired- including finishing off cripples- you are in the near expert class- a mallard for every 2.5 shells fired, you are an expert duck shot- taking all shots offered, no holds barred or asked--
