Thanks, all.

Harry, that double flinter is by W.H. Wilson, London. I don't believe he was actually a maker but rather a retailer. However, Alexander Wilson, who had his shop in the same building was a gunmaker and worked a long time for Joe Manton. The gun is remarkable in many ways. Its in original condition and not far from mint, though it was shot a little. It has very modern stock dimensions and weight. And it has about all the bells and whistles the best flinters had. If this weren't the Parker site I'd post photos but.......send me your e-mail address and I'll send some to you.

Bruce, you'd enjoy the shoot.......and it sure isn't too far for you to travel. Now, it also appears that Dennis Potter's shotgun class at Trinidad is planning their SC shoot at the Whittington June 30 in the afternoon.......humm.....

Joe,

Craig Smith (Circle Fly Wads) encouraged me to attend Friendship, Indiana and shoot muzzel loading shotguns with the boys and girls. One of the girls was shooting a double fowling piece that her husband had made and she shot the old rock fired gun very well. I would love to see more of your flinter.

OK, let's get a Papal Dispensation for Joe to post all the pictures he wants to post. We do have an "other guns" forum. Go for it, Joe, since I asked about the pictured guns on another forum and guessed, correctly, with no evidence, that they belonged to Joe Wood.

Agree with Bill. Please post some pics on the "Other Fine Doubles" forum. I would imagine there are few on this site that have only Parkers in the household, albeit bias may be skewed in that direction. Jack
