Well I did not count my shell expenditure I usually average 2 shells to every bird I shoot. Some days better some days worse. I usually shoot Eurasian doves once a week every week all year long for about 50 birds ea outing. I once shot 103 in one day just to fulfill my anticipated goal of doing so (had to do a morn and afternoon to accomplish the goal) The dove opener has lost it's charm as I am in heaven all year long. My biggest decision is which SXS's to shoot ea outing. I may need more guns!!!!!
