Several years ago, I remember reading that some PGCA researchers copied some old catalogs at Ilion. It happened and I'm sure the copies are still in the PGCA research collection. Austin Hogan may have been involved in that research project. I hope you are able to penetrate the "Black Hole of Curatorship" and get your information.

Default HAWES CATALOG

Great Fishing Tackle Catalogs, Melner and Kessler with comment by Sparse Grey Hackle, Crown, NY 1972 page 317 -318 has some good comments on Hawes and a list of lengths and models offered.

Light rain and water temp about 40F on the Ammonoosic; I might wet one today

Best, Austin

Austin- may your line be tight and your net free of tangles. Do you use a tailer for salmon and steelhead??PS- If I "wet one" tonight, branch water and a few rocks are the right recipe!!
