What is the character stamped into the flat of the right barrel to the left of the 4?

It has the 3 stamped nearest the breech of the right barrel and we know this is the marking of the grade of the gun. In this case we know the barrels are not Damascus and we know the barrels are a grade 3 set so we should be able to extrapolate the obvious - that this is a set of Titanic Steel barrels.

Default Unmarked Barrel Flats

The two x 's over the braze joint (proof?) and the HT and A ( heat treated and annealed?) are also missing. Is it possible this barrel flat was a bit thick and needed a little milled off to be fitted?

Best, Austin
