I had a dog range out over a ridge and became separated from me one morning, when I went looking for him I came up on a posted piece of land and a gentleman came out from an outbuilding to let me know I was not welcome there and to move on with haste.. with my gun broken open in the crook of my arm I made an attempt to explain my predicament and he seemed to have nothing of it.. I had finally made the decision whether this yahoo liked it or not I was not leaving without my dog and we can deal with what happens later when I caught the faint ding of a bell (in the opposite direction of where my new friend stood his ground). Well John, did you get your dog back or did you have to shoot the gentleman ?
