On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
Gentlemen , most of you Fellas probably remember back quite a few months when this gun hit our " For Sale " section ,well some knew that I purchased it and some I am sure didn't and some I am also sure couldn't care less !!! With that said ,I just received it back last week from Brad ,and wanted to say ,I couldn't be more pleased with the workmanship and the professionalism that I received from dealing with " Bachelder's Master Gun Makers " ! Whether discussing the work to be done with Brad or calling for updates etc. and ANNOYING his Wife and Son or the rest of his Staff , Great People ! I will post a couple of Before and then a couple of after photos ! I hope all enjoy seeing how the old Girl turned out ,Brad Repaired the stock and did a lite refinish on the Damascus Barrels ! Russ

Russ, Did he you have the old piece of the butt to be reattached, or did he color a new one to match? I'm guessing you had the old one? No complaints about Brad here, he's a first class gun smith.

Chris ,In the first two pictures ,that is the original butt fore and aft , the LOP was so long some one cut the Butt of the stock and left the Skeleton Plate and Checking attached to the piece that was lopped off at that time I would assume a pad was added to get to a more normal LOP ,when I purchased the gun the pad if there was ever one installed was removed and the rear of the stock reattached ,the LOP was nearly 15 5/8 if I recall correctly ! I sent the gun to Brad and I need a 14 to 14 1/4 LOP ,so it was decided to leave the Skeleton Plate attached and remove wood forward or back of the original cut to try and match grain as nearly as possible and to get the LOP I needed to be able to shoot the gun and make it appear as natural as possible ! I was very pleased this was accomplished as well as it is ! I know a lot of the PGCA Members are quite familiar with this gun and thought they would enjoy seeing how it turned out ! Russ
Some grain painting work would hide that line to the point you wouldn't know it was there if the mating of the surfaces is perfect.
