!0ga on a #1 frame

I was looking at the chart from TPS on frame sizes/gauges and was surprised to see that the #1 size frame was listed as being available in a 10ga!
Has anyone here owned one or even ever seen one? How thin would the breech end of the chambers be?!!

Since the chamber size between 10 and 12 is minimal, I would think it very possible if the barrel striking was kept very straight. I would not think the breech to be much lighter than many 0 frame 16g guns.

Here is a real early gun #46 in 10 gauge. This was before frame sizes but it sure feels like a 1 frame 10 gauge...

I don't have it in front of me from memory it was either 1 1/16" or 1 3/32"

Given that it is a 2 5/8" 10 made for black powder shells it wouldn't be as unique a newer 2 7/8" hammer gun or even a hammerless 10 on a 1 frame(which I think would be neat!).

The chamber walls look like a 2" 12 gauge. What does the gun weigh?

A 1-frame, as I recall Quality DH, 10-gauge came by the PGCA booth at The Vintage Cup at Sandanona a couple of different years. It was pretty rugged and the owner was IMHO more than a little over the top as to what it was worth. Ron Kirby checked the serial number in the records and the gun was right.

With the solid back action frame it is not super light. It's around 7 1/2 pounds, still feels nice especially for a 10...

Murphy does not own the #1 frame ten that we saw at the Vintagers a few years ago. Looking at the open breech was more than scary.
