Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

Recent Rock Island Auction
Good Morning,
Did anyone attend or bid on guns from this weekend's Rock Island auction? I went to the preview day and parts of Saturday's and Sunday's auction. There were a good number of Parkers of all kinds -- original condition, upgrades, reproductions. Several 8 gauge Parkers, both hammer and hammerless, and some nice 410s (for those who covet those). A really nice N 10 gauge built on a #6 frame was a highlight for me (I did not bid on it as I was holding out for another Parker down the line...and my wife was sitting next to me, if you understand what I mean...). I thought this gun was an 8 gauge it was so large and heavy (notes said 12 lbs. 12 oz.) It was a very nice gun.
There were some real bargains in my opinion, and some that went for premium prices (the 8s and 410s, of course).
I managed to win a nice 10 gauge grade 3 and a really nice G grade 12 built on a #1 frame (I thought it was a 16 when I first saw it a picked it up).
Just curious if anyone else participated in the auction and what your thoughts are (and if you got any treasures from the auction).

I bought the N 10 #6 frame. It was nice to hear your opinion of the gun. According to the Parker letter it went to Hatcechubbee AL on 12/12/1902. Thanks
