Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

PARKER SPECIAL STEEL
I today received Parker SN 208696 a 12 bore with barrels marked "PARKER STEEL" bought from a recent Heritage auction. In the auction description it was listed as having Damascus barrels and therefore I am more than pleased. I have owned many Parkers over the years but this is my first one marked that way. It is a PH Grade w/ extractors on a 1 1/2 frame w/ 30 inch uncut barrels and is in overall very good condition.
My question is this. Is this the customary barrel steel for a PH Grade? It has engraving around the frame screws, breach balls, floorplate & breach edges.
I will try to take some pictures shortly.
Best Regards, George

Yes, that is correct for the PH's when they went to fluid steel. Parker Steel for the PH's and Parker Special Steel for the GH's. There weren't a whole lot of PH's with fluid steel barrels produced compaired to the Twist steel barrel PH's.
