2 BBL sets - Storage arrangement ?

Just curious how most arrange their 2 bbl sets in the gun safe with all the other guns. Mainly, how to store the second set of bbls? Since they are too short to stand-up in the designated rack spaces, I have been standing them up in a corner of my safe. When you are out of corners, then what?

A two barrel set should be cased. Galazan, Jeff's Outfitters, and some other vendor should be able to sell you a reasonably priced case.

A long piece of wooden dowel or straight copper pipe through a barrel will stand them up and keep them in line with the other contents of your gunsafe.

I do have cases for the 2 bbl sets but they take up too much room in the safe. Also, I have had rust issues in the past with keeping breakdown guns in their cases due to the high humidity down here on the Texas coast.

I haven't thought of the wooden dowel before but that seems the best way to go.

Never thought of the dowel, but then I've never had any room in the safe.

My safe overflows so I slip my extra barrels in a gun sock and stand them up starting in the corner of the safe. When socked one can make a standing stack of barrels behind the guns.

My safe is in the basement, which has exposed joists. I drilled holes in the side of a joist, and set 3/8" dowels in the holes. I lay the extra barrels across two dowels. They are dry, and don't take up any space.

I have peg board on the inner safe door and hang them on peg hooks from the breach end with coat hanger loop to the hinge pin joint and some elastic webbing at the muzzle of each to hold them flat and firm. There is 7 barrels hanging there. Couple barrels that I do not plan to use are wraped in gun oil paper and stored in their maker case. Thanks all SXS ohio..
