Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

I would not guess that this gun is a two pin ventilated rib gun. A 28" vent rib is a rare and unlikely factory item. More likely is a Simmons retrofit field grade gun. My guess is a Simmons rib, misaligned at the extension, hard to solve that problem. If the starting point would have been a nice two pin vent rib gun, the value would be much higher. Pachmayr donated guns are not a hot item on the collector market. There is no real shading in the engraving background, just punchdots. Has anyone seen a pheasant looking back at you on the flush? Overall, not a very neat gun.

The Winchester Ventilated Rib (aka two-pin) was only manufactured in 12-gauge and two barrel lengths -- 30-inch for Trap Guns and 26 3/4-inch for Skeet Guns. One would have to machine posts on the barrel in different locations and then machine a rib to match to make a 28-inch barrel.
