Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

New Member...Like some info..

I am new to this forum..
My father owned a Parker...and I believe the Serial number was 196314. I got this number from some old insurance papers that I recently ran across.
He has been dead since 1998...
As a kid I thought the gun was something given to him by my mother (also deceased)...around the time they got married (1950)...
I checked another site that put the date of manufacture somewhere around 1921???....which seems strange because my mother knew nothing about guns...and all of my guns growing up were "Hardware Store" guns...I grew up shooting a Remington Model 11 ("It'll never jam...it's 'hard hitting"")..and never considered anything other than a gun that held less than 3 shells..
If there is some way to give a "profile" on the gun (original price...grade...etc) with the serial number alone...I'd love to hear what is known...
I remember the gun fairly well..it was NOT fancy.....but it "disappeared" years ago..so all I have is the serial number from an old insurance rider.
Thanks a million...and I hope I haven't wasted anyone's time.
Jeff

196314 was a 12 gauge Trojan with 30 inch barrels and a pistol grip stock
I am sure someone will have the list price for the gun in 1921
there are factory records available for a letter, that may tell you where the gun was shipped
