Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

I thought it was a good piece because it's the only time I've seen the DelGrego's in 'person' or any good shots of their shop. I always want to go there when I am in NY but it is so far in the middle of nowhere, I never do.
Although I have no particular love for journalism, I do have a good bit of education on that topic and I think a freshman in college could have done a better job....I'm amazed at how poor writing has become. For example, the story title is 'How a fourth generation gunsmith survives' yet it really gives no insight as to how that happens other than 'he works on guns'. A gunsmith who works on guns? Really?
Most of all, it would have been pivotal to include at least a couple sentences on the Parker gun. You know, "Considered by many to be the finest American made shotgun, the Parker was handcrafted for over 7 decades and is still prized today for its handling and style..." Can you imagine a story on Pierce Arrows that neglected to mention they were a cut above Model T's?
