Dean, they are original. It appears that the shotgun was worn out and repaired. It apparently must’ve been used a lot if the lug was worn enough that it needed work on to put the barrels back on face. I received an email from Will’s Brothers, they will work on it.

Good! They will make it right.
When metal is removed from the hook other critical surfaces, like the surface of the lug must have nearly an equal amount of metal carefully removed. Sounds like somebody was on the right track but lacked the skill to do it properly. .
