Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..

Identifying a Pre 1900 SxS Hammer Gun
Gentlemen, I am looking for assistance identifying a Parker Brothers SxS Hammer Shotgun. The shotgun has a complete shoulder strap. This is my Great-Grandfather’s gun and I can account for possession all the way back to at least 1957. Based on the Parker Brothers website information, the following are the markings that I have found:
Water Table: Left side “17253” and “MAR 15 1975”
Fore Stock: “17253”
Fore Stock Lock Slide: “17253”
Bottom of Barrel: “M+” and “8479” and “O2”
Top of Barrels: “PARKER BR’S MERIDEN CONN PLAIN TWIST”
I have photos to post as soon as I figure how to attach them. If there are other locations on the gun to look for markings, please pass those along as well.
I look forward to any and all help out there.
Thank you in advance,
John

17253 should be a grade 0 12 gauge lifter with plain twist 32 inch barrels
no extras are noted - the sling is likely not factory
if the O2 is on the lug - it will be a two frame,
looking forward to seeing pictures
