Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

Walmart Ammo Prices
Today while looking in the sporting goods section, I noticed these prices.
Is 28 gauge less expensive than 16 gauge ammo around the country?
Last fall the 12 gauge Winchester ammo was reduced in price by about $ 3.00/box
The Federal 16 gauge ammo several weeks ago was about the same price as the 28 gauge ammo is now??

The amount of price fluctuation in Walmart ammo is very highly influenced by individual store management (e.g., inventory and resupply) of items in demand. Smart managers with reordering savvy keep their shelves stocked as best they can; some remain asleep at the wheel.
There are at least 4 Walmarts within a 20-mile radius here in NOVA; one stocks nothing but metallic ammo, another usually has a very meager selection of shotshells across the gauges, of the remaining two, one will have a "flurry" of shotshell ammo every few weeks and then nothing, and the last store seems to always have a supply across the gauges every 2-3 weeks. The prices shown for 28 gauge is exactly the same as it is here, but the availability of 16 gauge is next to non-existent. Within the last month, Walmart's price of the Winchester 4-box 100-packs in 12 or 20 gauge has risen to $37.66 per pack, up from $22.97 a year or so ago. With an added 6% sales tax you are very near $10 per box, which local public shooting ranges are now beating at $95 per flat (10 boxes), tax included!
