Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

I sent it back!....too many issues.
The little VHE O frame 16 with 28" and 32" barrels had to go back. My Hosford and co. wall thickness gauge arrived on friday. At first everything measured was O.K. but on saterday I spent some time checking the 28" barrels real good....turns out 18" in from the muzzle of the right barrel along the bottom rib...three inches or better only reads .022 thous to .023 thous. That was the last straw for me...Gun has had lots of things worked? Rode hard maybe? Still needs work but the safty issue killed it. It was a fine set in its day! No week barreled 5K wall hangers for me..
The Hosford gauge is the good thing that came out of this! I like gagits anyway and this is a fun tool to use. A fine, hi quality tool set to check the old ones with. Im sure the little 16 would have stayed together having short chambers and shooting RST vintage loads...suppose I stuck a Fiocchi golden pheasant 2 3/4" a time or two.. HMMM...Ill keep looking for a light 16 with .025-.030 minn thickness, original unhoned barrels!....or Ill just be happy with my Parker repro DT 16 at 6lbs-4oz that is the best bird gun I have ever owned! A modern work of funktional art....thanks all SXS ohio....(-:

Wow,
The Hosford gauge did everything we said it would and more for you. I had a feeling you would have second thoughts about this gun. I've looked it over at the Sidney store on a couple of occations and thought it was way over priced considering the condition. Even at the price you paid it's still a bit of a gamble.
On the surface it appears the gauge may have just paid for itself!
