Hi Unregistered,
On July 29th, this site will be moving..! No, really - it's "moving" to another physical location - including servers, gateways, routers - everything - including my coffee cup...
So, from the date of July 29th through July 30 or 31 (shooting for these dates, but - as always, I'm at the mercy of my ISP who has to install the lines to the new location - and we actually get them running ;) ). But - this site, cloud servers and main web will be OFF LINE.
Now, please save these dates!! Please - don't be "that guy" who emails me on the 30th to tell me you "can't open the Parker Website". I'll already know it is offline - and also know that you are "that guy"...
I'll take this notice up and down over the next week or so - and leave it up during the final few days before shutting it off on the 29th..
John D.

Austin Hogan Award
Yesterday Kathy and I went to the American Museum of Fly Fishing in Manchester, VT to introduce the Director, Sarah Foster and others there, to Austin W. Hogan’s book to them on behalf of Daniel and Joanna, Publishers of DGJ, and Pam Hogan, Austin’s widow.
Pictured is the trade edition which is identical to the limited edition but does not have the gold-edged pages not the tipped-in signature card with the book's number and Austin W.'s signature.
They had heard of the book and even had published a review of it in their publication “The American Fly Fisher” back in the fall of ‘19 but haven’t offered it for sale in the museum and had never even seen one. They were very impressed with it and will be carrying it in the future I am very happy to say. A successful day for I would say.
They have an “Austin Hogan Award” but don’t differentiate which Austin, Austin S. or Austin W.
We know that Austin S. Is implied because he was the first curator of the museum which opened its doors in ‘72.
On the way home we passed within 10 miles of Allan Swanson’s little place in Weathersfield but I called ahead and there was no answer so, sadly, we went on our way.
Stopped at a Scottish pub in NH and had a nice Scottish meal and a nice glass of Guinness. The waittress was a pretty thing in a kilt and tattooed calves... she wouldn’t let me snap a picture of her legs.
