I’m looking to replace this Jostam recoil pad.
Currently on a iver Johnson 410 skeeter. Any help would be appreciated in locating one. Bob |

Since recoil is not an issue I put the solid red NOSHOC pads on small gauge guns.

The JOSTAM Anti-Flinch was the most popular pad back in the day and it is the one that hasn't been reproduced. Finding a NOS JOSTAM Anti-Flinch is really tough.
Most of the repro pads have been done in the large size with at least a 3 1/4-inch hole spacing and will require a lot of grinding to get down to a .410-bore SKEET-ER size. |
Brian Dudley says he has plenty of small size Jostam pads. He posted this information in the very recent past.

Thanks to all for the info
Looking to find the date of manufacture, did seem to find any info The serial number is S over 2409 E Only could find from 1927 thru 1947 |

The SKEET-ER doesn't appear until after the 1931/2 Iver Johnson catalog. Up to the 1924 IJ catalog the Hammerless Double is only offered in 12-gauge, but some 1924 catalogs have a paste-in adding 16- & 20-gauge and .410-bore.
Attachment 141992 By 1927 they also offered ejectors -- Attachment 141993 and the 12-gauge vent rib Super-Trap -- Attachment 141994 |
I have new old stock Anti Flinch Jostam pads, what size, how many slots and what is the screw spacing.

Thanks Craig
The rough measure of the existing pad is 4-7/8 x 1-5/8 The hole spacing is 3-1/4 The number of slots 7 |
I don't see seven slots. Are we discussing a pad not on the last picture?
|
Yes 6 slots
Also I was able to take it out for some skeet shooting today The left is very open either skeet or cal and the right barrel is extra full Took awhile to get used to. The fit and finish is similar to my model 21 |
