Missing in Action
Well, the combination of Covid, Spousal Units 60th B'day, getting RIF'd from work had the Pretty Wife and I finally going back to the Southern this year. We had plans to attend but as usual Man Plans, God Laughs. December was a little busy for us as my MIL did the Dead Right There in the living room for X-mass. Wail up to Peoria from Alabama and do X-mass with FIL and attendant funeral prep. Get through that and experience a little bowel discomfort after prime rib dinner. Shoot over to the ER and 4 days, 5 scans, many shots of morphine and emergency surgery pulls a softball size tumor out of my deep pelvis. They also got 2 feet of small and large intestine and other entwined stuff. Positive for Large B Cell Lymphoma, Stage 4. Next stop is chemo city, I will have round 5 next Friday. They say chemo is a war and they are right. The next 2 years will tell the tale. If I make that then I have a good chance of passing the 5 year mark. Only the Big Guy Upstairs knows for sure.
I hope you all have a very good Southern, the Boys shoot well tomorrow and win the Trophy and I will see y'all next year. Spin |

As a Marine Corps friend of my said "the only way is through" and to paraphrase the Buds candidates "the easy day was yesterday."

I had a radical robotic prostatectomy six years ago and I’m still here too❗️❗️a bit diminished but happy to be among the living… and Dorothy’s pretty happy about that❗️ |
