David Noble 04-24-2026 02:45 PM

That is one awesome gun! Congratulations.

Reggie Bishop 04-24-2026 03:00 PM

Yes very nice Parker!

William Machauer 04-24-2026 04:19 PM

Thanks guys!

Beautiful Trap Gun! Does anyone know how many were produced in this configuration?

Dylan Rhodes 04-24-2026 08:25 PM

If the forearm is original, less than 163. That is the total number of VH with BT forearms.

todd allen 04-24-2026 08:27 PM

Then add barrel length, and vent rib. I think you're below 20.

todd allen 04-24-2026 08:28 PM

Oh, and 11/2 frame and single trigger.

todd allen 04-24-2026 09:07 PM

I have done some research on this configuration, and this is an extremely rare combo of features.
Probably less than 20.
BTW, I have serial number 240941. Same configuration.
I also owned the same exact configuration in a Runge/DelGreco A1 Special, which I foolishly sold.
This is a small world at times.

Wally Barrick 04-24-2026 09:40 PM

I thought I saw 18 somewhere... Very nice gun! I would be interested in knowing to who the gun was originally issued.

Mine is configured exactly the same with serial: 239089

William Machauer 04-25-2026 05:43 AM

I had a pretty good idea that this is a rare configuration, 1 of 18 or 20 I didn't expect!

To be honest I saw this gun online about 2 months ago and I was dragging my feet to go look at it. Finally my curiosity got the better of me and the owner said I could shoot it. As I mentioned in my 'Going to test drive ...' I shot a 22 with the right barrel,a 22 with the left. The fact I haven't shot a clay target since last summer at the bunker, not a 16yd target in years and this Parker crushed everything I broke sealed the deal.
I have filled out the PGCA request, cut the check and am at the mercy of the usps to find out who/what& when for this gun.
I'd be interested in any info that could be pertinent concerning it being a rare bird like I thought.
Thanks!

Bores are perfect, chokes are untouched

William Machauer 04-25-2026 07:34 PM

Very nice Todd, it appears your color case is in better shape than mine.

That's a fine cue stick you've got there Todd. And it's a takedown model too!

Jim DiSpagno 04-25-2026 10:31 PM

Well, there is another configured just like those mentioned above. It's on Proxibid and at Lock, Stock, and Barrel auction on Friday May 1st. Lot # 1130 and the current bid is $650.00

That's a Damascus barreled M 97. Not a take-down model unfortunately.

I've got a 20 dollar bill that says it will at least double at the close :rotf:

John Davis 04-26-2026 07:13 PM

That’s a real beauty! I told you in your original thread to quit worrying about the money and buy it. Pay the man. I was correct.

William Machauer 04-27-2026 02:20 PM

Yes John, there was never any doubt I was going to buy it- my gun fund was a little in the red so we had to haggle for a trade.
Its mine now, I gotta wait until the end of May to try it on helice. I'll get out to the bunker before then I hope!
Nothing wrong with 16yd targets but I much prefer bunker targets!

I bet if it doesn’t do six or seven times that it won’t meet reserve that I “assume” it has .

Jim DiSpagno 04-29-2026 10:41 PM

Craig, it's at $850.00 now and has no reserve.

J. Scott Hanes 04-29-2026 10:52 PM

Actually it is at $2600 (not on Proxibid yet)

Jim DiSpagno 04-29-2026 11:20 PM

Thanks

I’ve been watching on invaluable it’s still under $500 there .

Larry Stauch 05-01-2026 09:59 AM

Proxbid

Gee you only have to add 22% to your bid for their fee.:banghead:

Phone bid is 15% provided you mail a cashiers check .

Larry Stauch 05-01-2026 05:55 PM

Price

So what did it ultimately sell for?

J. Scott Hanes 05-01-2026 06:20 PM

$4300 + 15% BP = $4945

Plus shipping which will be $150-175 . And if no tax number whatever your states sales tax happens to be .

Mike Koneski 05-03-2026 04:29 PM

William, my favorite Parker that I shoot is a 32" VHE, factory vent rib, BTFE, SG, SST, 1 1/2 frame, no safety (live bird gun). A true joy to use to grind targets.

Have you tried the recent addition 34” gun much ?

Mike Koneski 05-03-2026 05:19 PM

I actually won the 12g 5-Stand at The Southern with that 34" gun. Turns them into diesel smoke with those F/F "Men's Department" chokes.

William Machauer 05-03-2026 05:53 PM

Mike, I haven't had a chance to go shoot this one yet, I had planned on going to the bunker yesterday (Saturday) but I ended up helping a buddy sell his extensive Manhattan Arms collection. Guy came from Texas and took 97 revolvers/pepper boxes and about 30 swords. So I decided that I would go shoot helice today but when I got up this morning I felt like crap.
Knock wood I feel ok in the morning as I'm going striper fishing!
Will

I love stripper fillets! Best wishes on a successful trip.

Stripper? Oh my!

Dean Romig 05-03-2026 08:00 PM

Strippers… :rotf:

.

David C Porter 05-03-2026 08:37 PM

The buyers premium is not such a bad deal as everyone makes it out to be. You simply figure the BP in your bid & the nice thing about it is if you have to pay state tax on your purchase you only pay your bid price. The 15% BP is not taxable.
