SA1 Special Trap Guns

Available information indicates that there were four SA1 Special SBT's produced. We have identified three of them as follows: SN - 194680; 228331; and 241615. I am now trying to determine the SN of number 4. If anyone has any information concerning missing number 4, please contact me. Thanks, John

Bill Murphy 06-20-2019 06:15 PM

John, I assume the appendix at the back of TPS doesn't identify A-1 singles, since the Serialization Book doesn't identify high grade singles. However, it's worth a look. Did you score the latest A-1 single? I just don't remember. I can't remember why I didn't bid on it, "money" I guess.

John Davis 06-20-2019 07:37 PM

I wish! Unfortunately not me😪

GunnerGrilli 10-19-2022 01:10 AM

In my very cursory review thus far of the Serialization book, and looking through these old threads I find the following. Indeed as John has stated above, the following known SA1's are 194680, 228331, and 241615 (of course, 241615 is not in the serialization book, however it is pictured in the "Grades" section of the website). On page 63 of the Serialization book it lists 194680 as the first Grade 8 Single Barrel Trap Gun, but it lists 186943 as the first SA1. I have confirmed that 186943 is listed as the following....

186943 SA1 H 2 M 12 34

What a dandy!!! Monte Carlo Stock and 34" Barrels!! Where is this beauty hiding!!!

The next SA1 I find in the Serialization book in addition to those listed above is 199218. It is as follows.

199218 SA1 H 2 S 12 32

199218 is the only additional SA1 I have found thus far. So my question is this, if you add up those (2) additional guns does that mean there are actually 5 SA1 SBT's?????

:corn::corn::corn:

Thanks,

Bobby

I am sure that there are many members here who would LOVE to see more of this beauty! And would LOVE to hear the story of how you became the caretaker of such a rare and fine Parker. (include me in that group)!! If you so desire!

John Davis 06-28-2026 12:55 PM

I second Scott’s motion.

See attachment my father passed away in 09 and I inherited part of his collection. He called this one his goose gun. I’m looking to see what it’s worth is ?

John Davis 06-28-2026 02:28 PM

Beautiful SBT. Not sure about the stock.

Kenneth Son 06-28-2026 02:42 PM

what does SBT stand for and the A1S on the gun it self ?

Reggie Bishop 06-28-2026 02:51 PM

SBT= Single Barrel Trap. A1S is the grade. Which happens to be the highest grade available at the time.

John Davis 06-28-2026 03:19 PM

I love the Unicorn.

J. Scott Hanes 06-28-2026 09:05 PM

Kenneth,
You stated earlier that the barrel measured 32". Are you certain? The Parker Identification & Serialization shows that the gun had 34" barrels. The book could be incorrect. A Parker Letter may resolve that question.

Also, the forend iron shows a "2" under the serial number. Would that indicate that there were 2 barrels with the gun?

I was thinking it might have been a two barrel SA-1 as well .

Bill Murphy 06-29-2026 09:24 AM

The other barrel is out there somewhere.

Mike Franzen 06-29-2026 09:33 AM

What a gun. And what a coincidence the owner just happened to join this forum. Then we see a golden unicorn. It doesn’t get any better.

Phil Yearout 06-29-2026 11:35 AM

Unicorn. How appropriate!

GunnerGrilli 06-29-2026 01:07 PM

If you read my earlier post in this forum, that makes (5) known SA1 SBT's according to my research.

Also, if you note in my earlier post, and according to the Serialization book this gun came from the factory with a Monte Carlo stock.

What a gun!! Thank you for sharing.

Thanks!

Bobby

Hi Kenneth,

Bobby

John B White 06-29-2026 07:06 PM

My SC3 looks rather pedestrian suddenly

Mike Franzen 06-30-2026 07:25 PM

It's hard to beat a pair!!!

Pair of SA1's below.

194680 and 234637

Bill Murphy 07-01-2026 02:18 PM

Does that make six?

GunnerGrilli 07-01-2026 02:26 PM

Yes Bill, that makes 6. Although, I don't remember if 199218 is pictured in TPS or not. I think that was Puglisi's gun. I will have to check. Here they are in order.

186943

194680

199218

228331

234637

241615

Thanks,

Bobby

Everyone keep looking! If we locate enough of these, they may come down until we can all afford one.

I would not hold my breath for that to happen :rotf:

David Safris 07-02-2026 11:09 PM

This forum is amazing. 6 in the world and we have photos of three of them on one thread? crazy. Bobby - you are never short of fantastic guns to share.

If either of you gets the feeling those SA1s are just taking up space..... give me a shout

Chris Pope 07-03-2026 09:23 AM

I don't shoot trap but my goodness they are beautiful. Wish there were Parker Reproduction single barrel traps that I could afford. To the keepers of "the six" be kind to them. And thank you!

Phil Yearout 07-03-2026 10:02 AM

Orphan Annie with her orphaned barrel is jealous ! What wonderful guns!

John Havard 07-03-2026 10:10 AM

Bobby, could you please show another photo or two of the fore ends on your two? The checkering patterns look very interesting!
