Well it turns out the shop that gave me the great deal on the Parkers probably didn't do me any long term financial favors as they sent me down the classic SxS rabbit hole. I've been shooting the vent rib GHE very well but I decided I "needed" another gun to take some of the burden off. Specifically I wanted a gun with 32" barrels, 2 triggers, extractors, beaver tail forend and English stock with modern dimensions.

Enter Faux Whoop. Bo's redheaded Sterlingworth stepbrother.

Serial number 112075. Faux Whoop has 32" barrels that weigh 3lbs-15oz and sport 3" chambers. Both barrels are choked -.037. The total weight is 8lbs 3oz. The receiver has been re-furbished and the stock replaced. The LOP is 14 3/4 to the front trigger, DOH is 1 7/8" and it has the just the right amount of cast off to fit me perfectly. Top lever is left of center, but the lockup is rock solid and on face with zero wiggle.

Faux will be headed over to Ellijay next week for Bill Schwarz to insure a clean bill of health and then I plan for this one to become a workhorse clays gun.

That’s a nice looking gun Don. If it fits your perfectly it’s worth way more than what you paid.

I think it's awesome especially with that nickname. Good to see another double guy from GA

Thanks, I didn't get a particularly great deal on it (gunbroker) but it is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Other than I don't really like the checkering pattern on the wrist (it actually looks better in person than I thought it would) it matched every criteria I was looking for.

It's also a great companion to the 30" 16ga Sterlingworth I bought a few weeks ago from a local seller. :)

The checkering pattern on the wrist is interesting. And being a Sterlingworth, you'll get many rounds out of her.

Following the pattern of 12-gauge Philadelphia Sterlingworths with a zero in the hundreds place of the serial number having 32-inch barrels. Of the thirty 12-gauge Sterlingworths I've recorded 26 have a zero in the hundreds place of the serial number one doesn't and the other three are Savage-era and don't follow the pattern.

Thirty-two twelves are sweet. I hope you shoot it "lights out"! I couldn't, with only 1 7/8" drop at heel.

If you can make it next month to the BoWhoop shooting event at Hausmann's I'm sure you could do well with her.

First rate.
Be careful with 3-inch vintage doubles, they can become quite a passion.
I now have a Fox HE Super, A Parker VHE, and two Long Range LC Smiths...all chambering 3-in shells. Made for geese, ducks and the elusive Eastern wild turkey. Proven effective in Alabama and Virginia swamps...

Man I'd love to, but it's a haul from GA.

I am going to put some of the big regional shoots on my calendar going forward. I'm not a registered target type of clays shooter, but I love to bust 'em; especially with a SxS.
