My buttstock was contoured also and when I tried to make the spacer comform to the contour I thought it would crack so I clamped my belt sander in my vise and carefully flattened the contour out if it being very careful not to compromise the heel area where the spur inletting is.

Roger, Dean, and Fred: My suspicions are confirmed. No pad is flexible enough to conform to the contours of my curved stock. Therefore the pieced-on Cheekeeze stays put and I don't add any more warts to my GH shooter. I am grateful to the interest shown by the respondents. What a great forum. Dick Baum

Dick,

The V's that I have fitted butts to were already cut flat by a previous owner.  I suspect that there is a way to soften a flat spacer to conform to to a curved butt, however you would still have to contend with the soft part of the pad.

It makes one wonder why one of the manufacturers isnt marketing a soft backed and flexible pad.

Jeff
