I inspected an interesting 16-20-20 reproduction today. The DHE,straight grip, double trigger, splinter repro consisted of a set of 16 gauge 28" Q1 Q2 Krieghoff barrels (total weight 6lbs. 6 oz.); a set of 20 gauge 28" Q1 Q2 with 3 inch chambers(total weight 6lbs. 10 oz.)and a set of 20 gauge 2 3/4 26" IC/Mod barrels(total weight 6lbs. 9 oz.) Any speculation as to whether this combination was a standard offering? This is the only open choked from the factory repro set I have ever seen.

It very well could be original, albeit very rare.
About three, maybe four years ago John Allen at Gamefair, LTD had a DHE 20/16 bi-gauge set available...Straight grip. splinter forend, DT, 20-ga. 28" bbls. factory choked Q1/Q2 and 16-ga. 28" factory choked Q1/Q2. Knowing what he had, he held tight to a selling price at about $1500 over the then current market price for 20/16 bi-gauge sets Being the frugal b-----d I am, and always wanting a good deal, I passed...and I've regretted passing ever since.
If you decide to pass Asa, I may be interested...

I have a correct 20/16 set both barrels are 28" Q1/Q2 Pg-Dt-SF It may be the only set configed this way, or one of only a couple sets at most. I bought from Ivory Beads little over a year ago....it was listed for big bucks and did not sell ...I made the same offer every 3 months till they excepted...(-: its now part of a three gun set with all the 16ga. chokes offered by Skues/Winchester ...Pg-Dt-SF 14 1/4 pull. Love them repro's..(-:
