I inherited a Parker Brothers side by side 10 gauge.  I'm trying to learn the grade or model.  It has 32 inch Damascus barrels.  It has hammers.  There is a shield on the top of the stock, but i can't see anything on the shield because of wear.  On each side there is a dog and a couple of birds.  on the bottom there are two pheasants by a fence.  The serial number is 27596.  under the barrel there is a 3 above the serial number.  Behind the trigger guard, there is a letter engraved with the serial number behind it.  i can't really make out the letter because of wear.  It kind of looks like an "A", but it also looks like an "N".  I hope somebody can help me out to identify this.

Grade 3, later referred to as a D grade.  The letter is an N, a prefix that probably refers to "Number".  According to a serialization reference, 32 inch barrels were original to the gun.
