Anytime Larry (at leat from October to Nov 14) we didn't get out for the Dec. season as there was to much snow. Firearms deer season starts Nov 15 and that ends bird season untill Dec.
I like a long LOP. I have a str grip DHE 20 that with a 1/2 inch pad is a tad over 15 inches. Its perfect.
