If you're looking for a totally honest gun dealer who will give you a fair shake, look no further than Jim and Jerry at Ivory Beads Inc. ... I bought a Parker 8 bore lifter gun with 36 inch barrels from Jim and Jerry at Ivory Beads Inc. back in October and I couldn't be happier with the gun, the deal I got, or the two gentlemen who own and operate Ivory Beads Inc. ... They're TRUE gentlemen, a real pleasure to do business with.
I also bought a top lever hammer gun with 36 inch barrels from the Julia Auction back in October as well ... So I'm hunting for TWO trunk style gun boxes or Leg-of-Mutton cases that will accommodate 36 inch barrels ... If anyone should run across one or two of these long cases please let me know.
THANKS ! ... Jim Kucaba ... Phoenix AriZOOna ...

Jim, I'm casing my eightbores, not all at one time, with FEI cases in Wisconsin. They aren't original style, they're oak and leather, but a great selection of leathers and linings and they are glad to make oversize cases. I have a 33" Greener eight and a Baltimore Alexander McComas 36" eight in FEI cases and am very satisfied. I was lucky enough to find an original Parker Brothers eight gauge case for my 34" Zero Grade hammer gun.

I just recently completed another transaction with Ivory Beads. They are one of my favorite dealers. They currently have a large inventory of Parkers from two estates.
If they would only move there shop to the East Coast! Great Guys and will enjoy doing business with them

Thanks Jim,
I was looking at this dealer's web inventory, wondering if I should ask about one of their Parkers. I was going to post my first post asking about them - but seems you answered my post before I asked!!!
My thanks (and my first post - and yep - I own a Parker.. )

Bill, Thanks for the tip on locating trunk cases for my long barreled Parkers ... If you'd like to see some photos og my Parker 8 bore lifter gun they're still posted in the Ivory Beads website ... The gun is all original with the exception of the caped pistol grip stock that replaced the original straight grip stock ... I suspect a previous owner just wanted a pistol grip stock with more modern dimensions ... Please tell me more about your Parker 8 bore hammer gun with the 34 inch barrels and post a few photos if you can, I'm sure everyone here wuold enjoy seeing your gun.
THANKS AGAIN ! ... Jim Kucaba ... Phoenix AriZOOna ... Email: JimKucaba@aol.com

I'm not up to speed on posting photos, but my #7 Frame Zero Grade is a Stub Twist barrel gun sent to E.K.Tryon in Philadelphia in 1894. It is a top lever gun with side plates loaded up with color, average finish on the rest of the action with minor surface roughness on the bottom. Keith Kearcher did the barrels in brown, very subdued but correct looking. It has a very crispy low mileage action. The stock was leaded when I bought the gun, but I have managed to drill out the lead and now it is a trim 12 1/2 pounds. It came off a table at the Allentown PA Gun Show several years ago.

I couldn't agree more about Ivory Beads. It's been a year or so since my last purchase but they are certainly on my (very short) list of trusted dealers. Nice people. Jack

I agree that dealing with Ivory Beads is a pleasure. I recently bought a gun from Jim and Jerry and couldn't have been more satisfied. They ship quickly and answer questions promptly.
