This, William, is why I put either "Brooklyn Handicap" or "Tree Top Tall" on the silver hanging tags on my crystal decanters for "bourbon" style liquors...You missed nothing at Allentown today. I bought a minty Daly/Miroku 28" 20ga for $600 out of shear boredom...;)

Thanks for the update, but I'll bet you or MP had something more interesting that a Miroku 20 gauge.

Bill, there was nuttin', I mean nuttin'. MP had a Tikka .222/20g and a Fulton 28" 20g and a few odds and ends. I had an early M11 28" on the table. I looked at 30" 16g Ideal L. C. on Elmira's table but the brrels had bad pitting about 6-8' from the muzzles. I moved to an Ideal 10g but it had just sold (after atleast 2 shows..) The little Miroku 28" o/u 20g  Superior Grade was a pure "let's see how cheaply we can buy it" gambit. What a superb gun for the money ($605). Why buy a an SP Browning 20g for 4-5x as much?

I saw the Smith Ideal 10 with steel barrels last show.  If it weren't for the "no character" condition, I would have been right on it.  It was just miles and miles from crispy.  I just couldn't do it.  I'm sure next time we see it, it will be very minty.
