I have a G grade 12 gauge that I bird hunt with and love it. It is in good condition but the person who maintained the gun prior to me boogered the screws. It is not anything that hinders shooting just not very sightly. What do you do with unsightly screw heads . Do you replace them ? If so , how do you match the screws to the rest of the gun.

Exactly how bad are they? Depending on their condition, you could either clean them up or simply replace them. If they arent too bad and you have some extra money you could buy a few screw slot files and do it yourself. But if you ask me, in either case, leave it to a professional who has a trained eye and a good engraver. You sure as heck dont want to create even worse of a mess, but post some pictures anyways.

I picked up my 36" GH 10 ga. today from my stocker. The 3 floorplate screws are ,to use your phrase, "boogered". I will do what I always do in these cases and send the gun to my gunsmith and he will make three new screws for the floorplate and two new screws for the straight grip guard. I will send then send them to Geoffroy Gournet along with the guard for factory style engraving. Handfitted, properly indexed gunscrews are one of the problematic parts of Parker rehab projects....:?
