This is what I get for having an impulse buy, but my  Parker barrels are a bit of a conundrum and I was hoping that someone might be able to shed a little light on the matter.

The rib says damascus, but the barrels are not damascus.   The barrel flats have the appropriate Parker markings with "D 44" "3"  "4C" "2" for frame and serial number along with Pat'D APR 11 1876.  Now the strange part.  It has punch marks of  "PSF" "Finito" "XVI" "GN" and the appropriate proof marks for Brescia or Gardone, Italy circa 1960 (I think)--there are also proof measurements in kilograms and bore measurements millimeters on the underside of the barrel.

I got really confused when I noticed that the chambers are blued damascus (2 3/4") and then the rest of the barrels appear to be regular blued steel.  It literally goes from damascus to blued steel that is separated by an engraved line on the barrel.  I will try to post some pictures so you do not think that I am completely crazy.

You are not crazy.  It sounds like you have a set of steel barrels sleeved to the original chambers.

Thanks for the input, that makes sense. Does this completely destroy the value of the gun?

Perfect, I bought it to be used for hunting and skeet shooting and not a safe queen.
