Harold, don't worry about it. Some of the regulars here know about Purdys and I suspect a few even own one. Most of us don't though, but it doesn't hurt to learn.
Bruce, I could hardly believe it when this new guy joined our skeet club. He's British but he's far from being Proper British. Pretty rough n' tumble actually. However, when he shoots his little finger on his forend hand sticks out quite properly. We give him Hell about it but he can't seem to stop. I'll get a picture of him in the act someday and post it here. Oh, by the way, he shoots a very nice Browning . . . or maybe I should say a very expensive Browning

Well they're both shotguns, but Parker guns were made here in the US and Purdy guns were made in London, England.
Dean's right though, several guys here might be able to tell you something about your Purdy.

Significant!! Not really just a wee jaunt across a really big pond. Oh, and the Parker is a more solid gun...spoken as an American.
