A gun shop in Billings called about a month ago, and said they had a original condition "Parker" I needed. They said it was a Trojan, and I said the next time I was in Billings I would stop. Now, I've not had a burning desire to own a "Trojan", and it was a month before I stopped in to see the gun. Well, the gun is very high original condition, rib extension, 12 gauge 30 inch full & full, and does not appear to have been shot much, or cleaned since it left Meridan. No joke, I think it has original grease on the extractor and etc. The serial number is 164628. With all the C Grades displayed, and since it is just a Trojan, I thought I should spice it up with my fully tooled Heiser Lambs Leg Case. I've been looking for a gun that would fit this case, but a Trojan?

The face looks like very little shooting has taken place on this gun.

Oh Dear! I've been looking for a mate to Papa's 20 gauge Trojan and just haven't found the right one. Lon, yours is a true beauty.

Nice gun, Lon. Love that leg o' mutton case!

But then you have an outstanding CHE 16ga also, and I have seldom seen such a nice VHE 16ga as you have and in high, original condition.  This Trojan will be a fine gun to take down to the pond in your north pasture and shoot the hundreds of ducks that mill around.  It will handle anything you want to stuff in it.

You are developing an outstanding collection of Parker shotguns.

Lon: Saying that it is "Just a Trojan" is kind of like saying it is "Just a Packard". Perhaps it doesn't have a Body by Dietrich but it's still a Packard & yours is still a Parker and a quite nice one at that.

Congratulations & Best Regards, George
