Black Max is also used by some gunsmiths to install permanent choke sleeves, so should be fine for a sight bead.

I may have to order some "black max" sounds like it could be used for many applications. I also have a hammer gun with the rib that is slightly lifted near the dolls head extension.
As though I don't have enough project already.

Dean I have no idea if its an original Lyman bead or not. I'll bring the gun to PA and you can inspect it.....and make a generous offer for it........which I'll accept .

As good as new. The diameter of the threaded section was smaller than the hole so I just used some good epoxy on it. Rich, that is your bead setting on the rib.

And the barrel flats....looks like it could use a little cleaning...

that installed bead looks pretty good Kurt. I'm sure it will work just fine.
