A well know group of crack shots with their famous Parker shotguns swarmed upon the Lapeer Sportsman's Club at Attica Michigan.  This group was part of the 74 entrents for the Lower Peninsula SxS Shoot.  While they didn't post the high score one of them, Kurt did carry home the High Black Powder honors.

While we didn't actually count the total number of Parkers shot, there seemed to be over 20 Parkers being used.

Back row:  Paul and Joe
Second row: Destry, Terry, Rich, Vince, Paul and Kurt
Front row kneeling:  Dave, Brian and Eric

Vince Holmes shooting his CH Parker with Bernard  26" barrels.  Vince displayed this Parker with both 26 and 30 Inch Bernard barrels.  The display also included information on the original owner of the gun and a photo of the gentleman hunting!

Dave,

Will do but first I must verify some of the names.

This is Dave Dellinger of Lapeer shooting black powder.

Heavy winter coat, it was chilly with the 25 mph wind. ;)

First I'd like to thank everyone who showed up - it's you guys who make this shoot so much fun - Thank You. We had 74 shooters and 11 tables of guns and other items for sale or show. My poor wife, daughter, or granddaughter couldn't shoot- I had them all working. The wife and daughter in the kitchen and the granddaughter was pulling either 5-stand or S.C's. Gonna have to think of a way to get them to shoot, which by the way, they all do [ keeps me reloading and broke] . But then there'd be no bean soup and you guys would go hungry till the steaks got put out. I believe Rich won the knife I made- I can't even remember. And Dave, it wasn't that cold- just look at today. I must admit the blowing wind played hell with a couple of targets. Maybe in our summer fun shoot I'll get the chance to shoot with you guys. Thanks again - Paul

Mark,

Thanks for taking all those photos and posting them, some good stuff there. I liked the one of me by the gun rack, you can see Dad's old Stevens with it's tenite forend amongst all those Parkers plain as day. I'm gonna have to shoot that gun at skeet some more, I was doing pretty well with it.

Was a nice day out, thanks to Paul for putting it on for all of us.

Destry

P.S. Eis is still skinny as a bull whip and I'm still fat as a keg of beer, that's the one thing that time hasn't changed about either of us.

Ok Destry,

So do you have a new hat? I am sure there's a story so do tell.

That's an ancient hat actually, I think I bought it when I was about 18 years old from L.L. Bean. It's sort of my winter non-hunting hat, though I do wear it hunting and shooting occasionally. It's traveled with me to Beaver Dam and the Philadelphia Gun Club as well. The blue jacket is even older, a Christmas gift from Mama when I was in high school. Obviously I've always been fat with a big head.
