Our 4th year at Addieville East Farm...Sat. May 9th in Mapleville ,RI 100 Targets Sporting Clays and Five Stand.......Shooting starts at 9a.m.
This shoot is a SxS shoot but open to everyone..
We will have grills available for burgers and such......
Rain date Saturday May 16th.
As in years past this has proven to be a great time..and this year we are hoping to be joined by members of the Fox Gun Collectors Assoc.

For whatever reason I couldn't access the Addieville East Farms website but you can get directions and arial photos of the area by going to the Robin Hollow website. They share the same small parking lot. http://www.robinhollow.com/direct.htm

| Just talked to Jack at Addieville.We will be shooting the upper course near Robin Hollow....The same course that will be shot Friday by the Vintagers.

A fox is a quality gun and they came with guys who obviously spend a lot of time shooting sporting clays. I shot with the three of "them" for the first four stations and I was up by a couple of birds on their Ringer, but being a good hosts Dave came over and moved me over onto "his" squad. Without the crushing pressure I must have been putting on the Fox guys, they were able to come back and claim the day. 
The Fox guys kept focused on their scores, while our now all Parker squad enjoyed the scenery, tales of recent trips and Cathy's delicious home made cookies. Ultimately, the fox guys hit more birds, but we ate more cookies. They were very good cookies. What we hit and what we missed I do not recall, but it was a pleasure to watch Larry and his wife shoot. They both have nice form and were hitting some really tough shots. Dean brought a pretty CH with Bernard Barrels which shot as well as it looks, and Larry and Robin both came with lovely Parkers. Always a joy to see these high grade guns being used as Chas. Parker intended. Meanwhile Dave consistently broke birds at every station to earn high honors in our squad.
To the credit of the Fox guys, they helped out with the grill and a fine lunch was had by all. We then finished the day with some five stand. Robin was kind enough to let me shoot his hammer gun. What a remarkable gun it is. First time I have ever shot a lifter, and it was a treat. Truth be told, we had a little fun at the expense of the Fox guys after they whipped us on the Clays course. We went back out and were all having a great time shooting, when the Fox guy suddenly realized that the entire time it had been their electric counter which had been in the stand, so they would be charged for all of "our" birds. After much anxiety they seemed to accept that they really could explain to the Farm that they had not shot all those birds and the Parker guy had done it. They then rushed back to the office to tell Mommy that the Parker guys and ladies, did it. Mommy then made us pay for the birds. The Staff at Addieville are wonderful.
Thanks to everyone for putting on the Spring Shoot, it was a winner. Hope to see all in PA. Fox guys say they want a re-match, but I think they just want some of those good Cookies. Hmmm, they really are good cookies.

Greg,Great summary of our day! Just one point needs to be corrected in all fairness to Larry. Larry was high gun on our squad and I was tied for low gun But thats my plan I am luring the Fox guys into a false sense of security.
As far as "The Cookie Lady,s" wares....I just had one(or was it two) just now!

We shot hard, we laughed hard, we ate well and we finished it off with a cold beer and good company. You guys did a great job.

Hmmm. From the Fox site a description of their guns.
Team Fox left to right Mike Campbell of Western N.Y., Steve Cambria (Toolman) of CT. and Paul Plunkett III(FOXIST) of New Jersey. Mike was shooting the famous "Anna Nicole" a 32" Sterlingworth custom stocked by himself and came away with the high overall score of the day. Toolman fielded a very nice early 32" B grade and Foxist shot a 30" Sterlingworth with #1 weight barrels
Long barrels, custom stocks, we got snookered.
