The summer 2008 issue of Parker Pages will close 15 April 08, before the LC Smith – Parker Challenge. We are looking for some articles, including one or two page articles about a favorite Parker.

Ken Waite has contributed some 1900 – 1935 Remington salesmen’s catalogs and DuPont lab reports on shells, loads and powders. We have some Winchester catalogs of the 1890 – 1910 era. We have access to some collections of shell boxes, showing loads.

We would like to include some examples of Parker Patterns with this. Of interest would be some actual pattern counts from modern shells in original Parker barrels, and pattern counts from pre 1920 shells or load replicas. “Low Base” shells like Winchester Ranger Remington Shur Shot and predecessors that were upland favorites would be great contributions.

We are always looking for book reviews, museum reports, and extracts from Parker Flyers and Catalogs. We would like to assemble a chronology of side by side manufacturers and importers price lists for the Parker era.

These are some current suggestions; we are always looking for articles on any aspect of Parker shooting or collecting.

Franklin,

You should be posting on the Discussion forum regarding your stock issues. unfortunatly if its badly broken at the wrist a repair might not be possible. If thats indded the case your option is to restock the gun. I looked into this at the Souther and for just the buttstock it was approx $1500 plus the wood.

What grade is your gun?  Getting a Parker correctly stocked can be a challenge depending on the grade of your gun.

I can point you to several qualified people if you wish the information just send me a PM.
