Just got an e-mail from Galazan taking orders for barrels. They are for both repro and orignal guns according to the ad. Seems O frame only ranging from 16-410. Does anyone know anything about these barrels?

I remember the repro 16's introduced a while back..

The .410 is is listed as 00 frame.  Some interesting choices here.  I did not see any indication whether the barrels for original Parkers were ejector or extractor, or if there is any choice.  Would presume they are all ejector.

Greg,I just received that email also. All I could think of was having a set of those 28" 28 gauge barrels fitted to my 20 gauge O frame 30" VH!

Oh my God.... What a fun gun that would be

Too many options!!  Can you use ejector barrels on an extractor gun if you swap out the long ejectors rods  with a short extractor rod?

I really wish the 16 ga. barrels I got from Galazan two years ago had Parker style matting :X (pita)

I would be interested in the .410 set made for the 00-frame for one of our Repro 28's but I would absolutely want to know how these barrels would affect the handling/swing/weight/balance of the gun before I committed to a set. I can't believe the gun would remain unaffected.

Kathy's Repro 28 has a BTFE and Galazan claims the barrels (.410?) are made to be used with the original forend . . . that's a pretty thick set of (28") .410 barrels to fit properly in the BTFE made for 28 ga. barrels.

I think this is a great product idea. HOWEVER, the 16ga Galazan aftermarket Parker Repro barrels that I bought are horrible. There is a big space between the top of the Doll's head extension and the notch that accepts it on the receiver. Also, the top level has to be pushed and jiggled to close the gun, it won't snap shut unless slammed. When I called to complain I was told "don't worry, it will wear in." They still have not "worn in". I would not buy these unless I could somehow be assured they would fit properly. I wasted a lot of money that could have been put toward another gun.

I have a set of original repro 410 barrels with its own splinter forend...its mated to a 28ga with BTF....the beaver tail fits the 410 barrel set and locks up fine.  There is a 3/16 gap due to the 410 set not being as larg..its noticeable and I will not use it that way.  All the reproduction 410-s had their own forends.  It would be smart to see a set in person prior to ordering.  A second wood forend fitted for the 410 may be in order.  I have 7000.00  in the factory 410 barrel set and 5500.00 inthe 28ga. its mated with,  total 12500.00    Gun weight is 5lb 8 1/2 oz with the 26" 28ga. and 6lb.-4oz with the 26" 410 set.  I would not want a heavier set of 410-s  Thanks all   Kenny Graft ohio...(-:
