Yes John I pass by Elliot Island just about every day. If you had the pleasure to know, let alone hunt with Wally Abbott , then you have experienced life with a true local legend. There's a book out there about Wally that really sheds some light on the man and the area that I'm lucky enough to call home. They still have the muskrat skinning contest and goose and duck calling at the "Outdoor show" in south Dorchester Couinty every year.

Marshall - If you live near Easton there's a guy upstairs at Albright's Gunshop who knows how to work on Parkers.  Last time I was there he had about half-dozen of them on the rack.  One was a beautiful GH skeet gun.

I've got the book - "Having My Say".  Loaned it to someone, and now it's gone away:(

Was down there about 5 years aog for several days of harvesting soft-shell crabs.  6 of us got abut 150;)

I grew up in Wilmington, and we boated on the upper end of the bay.  Kept the boat on the Sassafras River  That was 50 years ago.  I'm sure it's changed a lot (and not for the better)

Ed, I know the shop but if you're familar with Talbot County you 're aware that there's alot of upward economic pressure ( rich folks) that makes some of their inventory a little more pricey then others. That's not to say you can't find some excellant pieces in there and they have a great reputation. I'm going back in there now that "Parker fever" has ravaged my body. Thanks for the heads up!

John, You absolutely right! Things have changed alot and what we use to know is vaporizing fast. Where I live theres only one road in and one road out. About 12 miles in so life here changes a little more slowly but I can see the dust of the oncoming troops.
