While at the Southern Carl Brandt showed me his Parker with the cheek pad taped on. I want to get one for my gun but can't remember where he said he got it. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Mike,
Call SW shooters supply. The man that answers the phone there is very helpful (I have forgeotten his name). He will know what you want once you say you are trying to raise the comb on a parker. I suggest you try to measure what thickness you need. They have alot of different sizes and models to choose from.

They make models that are the same thickness all the way around, 4 different sizes I believe, 2/16 to 5/16 of an inch thick.
They also make SLIM SIDED Cheek Eez that is the same height from front to back in about 4 different thicknesses.
Then they make SLIM SIDED Cheek Eezs that are TAPERED from the front to the back, getting higher as they go back.
There is also a SCOPE EEZ that can be used on some shotguns.

I will try to find the link to the other models. Jent

Al has these Cheek Eezs at his shop too. Al usually attends the big SXS shoot at HHHSC. He can deliver to you what you may need at HHHSC if he is attending this year.

I wish I still had that picture of Roger Giles and his custom made cheek pad and Giles Custom Monte Carlo comb. Roger do have any pictures or could you explain the process. It was simple and inexpensive and could be quite effective.

A couple of layers of VET WRAP TAPE make all of these devices work better. Electrical Tape will work to help hold a CHEEK EEZ in place but VET WRAP, a horse bandage product, works the best.
A shoe pad cut to fit and held in place with VET WRAP will work well.

That's what I thought you were talking about. I bought a couple from Midwest last fall but have not had the heart to put one on the stock of the gun I purchased them for. Just can't bring myself to cover any of that beautiful old walnut stock. I'll probably miss more than my share of birds but I can live with that.

Didn't Roger use some cardboard and duct tape? This was on a gun he called Old Klunker .
