I cleaned my GHE12 bbls and receiver with lacquer thinner than applied a coat of IBIZ wax as a protectant. Seemed to leave a nice somewhat but not too thick or glossy layer using a small amount of wax and a minimal amount of wiping off of the dried wax. If there's any mild abrasive in it, it certainly didn't seem an issue during application; it wiped off very easily. Not as thick or glossy as what I got on a hammer gun from Puglisi and more glossy than what I got on my 10ga bbls from Dale Edmonds. Looks very nice actually. Dressed the gun up quite nicely. Used a q-tip to get it out of the top rib groove, a toothpick to get it out of the screw heads on the receiver. Will be using the gun on an RGS target shoot with Trigg this coming weekend. He called the club to make sure it was OK that I use a damascus gun. The reply was, "Gee, no one has ever asked that one before. Guys bring damascus guns here and reload for them and we just assume they know what they are doing"... or something to that effect. I love this place! I hear some clubs just won't allow damascus guns. The military club here in Fairbanks doesn't allow them unless they are nitro-proofed, as if anyone there would know how to tell.... not likely.
