Hi Gang,

Well, itdoesn't look as if OLd Hick is going to make there this year. I had some eye problems and it would not be wise to try a four hour driive while getting used to the prisms in my new glasses.

I will miiss you all and wish the oualifiers and the final team good luck.

Hick

Have one for me!

Hick,

I have not had the pleasure of meeting you personally but I know alot of the guys here think alot of you. I am sure you will be missed and I wish you speedy recovery with the eye problem.

I think that several of the regular's won't be in attendance this year. The big fellow had already said he won't make it this year.

Derrick

Hick,

Was just talking about you to somebody the other day wondering why we'd not seen you on the forum in so long. I'll miss seeing you this year, was always a pleasure to visit with you there in the South. Will maybe be coming down for railbirds again this fall, if so I'll plan on crossing the bridge/tunnel for another visit.

Destry

Hick, see if you can get a ride over for a day.  We'll sit and visit and watch the Parker Smith shooters and wave some shotguns around.  I still remember that I owe you a round of five stand.

That brings to mind John Gierach's book Standing in a River Waving a Stick. Some of the most adept at their craft refer to their art as "waving" their implement. :)

Hick, I won't be going to the Southern this year either and I'll miss all the guys and the good times too but it's good to know you'll be there in spirit. Dean

Dean if your not going to the Southern maybe we can get you up to the UP shoot.... It seems as if a lot of people are not going this year, I sure will miss seeing everyone :(. Hopefully they will add some more games and a better sporting clays couse :X and then maybe it would make it worth the drive and I can get the Michigan boys willing to go on another road trip....
