Does anyone have a link to the shoot in Duluth that is sponsored by Jack Pugilis?

Rich and anybody else thinking of attending: The sporting clays course was very much small bore oriented. A 20ga works fine or if a person is skilled with a 28ga, he could do well.
There is a pigeon ring that uses clay pigeons with tape stuck on them. You have to hit them so that the tape falls within the ring. For that you need a hard hitting tight choked gun. I understand the Yooper shoot has that, I had not seen it before and it was a lot of fun.
Last year I used a 26" damascus 20ga for sporting clays that was choked .002 and .032, cylinder and full ( factory). Maybe the best choke was IC and Mod, typical grouse or quail gun configuration. For the pigeon ring, almost everybody used a tight 12ga but I used a 32" 20ga, one of those Parker long range small bores, and I did fine. The point is that if a person likes to shoot small bores, you won't be at a disadvantage. On top of that, a small bore shooter gets handicap points.
It was a lot of fun and Jack Puglisi had a nice reception with food and drink at his new expanded store on Friday evening. For those who know George, one of Jack's oldest friends and who works in Jack's store, George has ill health issues, and many of us are hoping that George is able to be there.

Mark,
Dave Miles and I are considering it. Eric Eis might also attend. We are undecided about shooting the main event and thought about going and shooting the games for fun and checking it out.
I hear finding lodging is a royal pain as there is something going on ALL the time. It sounds like fun and I for one would like to go.
Will you be going? We would leave early Fri am and come back Mon early am.

Rich,
At this time I am not planning on going to Duluth. I do however occasionally think about going to the UP shoot.

The U.P. shoot is to much fun to pass up. Once you go it will be an annual event. IMHO it's more fun, more shooting and much better run than the Southern.
