In Vol 7, Issue 3 of the Parker Pages Ron Kirby published a list of 1/2 frame guns. Then two years later he published another list to which I was able to supply a few numbers. Since then I've kept an account of the 1/2 frame guns that I have run across. I have a total of 42. I would appreciate that if anyone has any additional guns that you would share the information with me. I realize that people are hesitant to make public that type of information. I am not interested in the name of the current owner, just the information on the gun. You could have a friend send me an e-mail at craigrreynolds@yahoo.com, mail me an anonymous letter at Craig Reynolds, 180 Brick School Rd. Warren, Ct. 06754, or send me a message through the forum. The information that I would like to have included is barrell length, grade, stock configuration, triggers, forend type, weight, butt, and the Remington date code. If your gun is on the list below I would appreciate the Remington date code. I hope to do an article for the fall issue of the Parker Pages and publish an updated list. If you see anything on the list that needs to be corrected please let me know.

Craig, could you tell us how Ron found those serial numbers when the Stock Books, which are the only Remington document that deals in frame sizes, ended way before this serial number range. Were these numbers sent in by members who owned half frame guns? I hope you got the information I emailed. Thanks for your interest in this phase of Parker collecting.

Bill & Craig, I recall sending directly to Ron the information on my VH half frame gun. I assume others probably did the same. Ron and I both were collecting information on half frame guns. I furnished him with serial numbers and other information relating to the guns that I had collected in my data. I had some 30 plus numbers at that time. Craig, I will check your list with mine to see if there are any you may not have listed.

I emailed Craig my 1/2 frame serial number. My 1/2 frame is without barrels. If anyone knows of a set of half frame barrels for sale, even if damaged, please let me know.

Bill, Bill, and Dave
Ron did the same thing that I just did. He asked the membership for information concerning their 1/2 frames. His first list had about 24 guns and his second list had 31 guns. I added a couple of guns to the second list but he did most of the work in gathering the numbers. Since the first post I have received information on two additional guns, so now the list is up to 44. Dave if you can locate those 2 guns I would appreciate the Remington date codes. Bill I would also appreciate the date code on your VH.
Thanks Craig
